Farming responsibility

Our aloe plantations in Texas and the Dominic Republic set a high bar for responsible practices. Forever uses drip water systems to cut water usage across the fields, and also collect water used to rinse the plants to reuse it in the fields.   By implementing solar powered pumps and new drip watering systems, Forever has been able to successfully reduce water usage by 90% at our plantations.

Smaller distribution

Controlling our own distribution channels allows us to continually reduce our carbon footprint by finding the most effective routes to bring products to our customers worldwide. This also allows us to minimise packaging and reducing waste.

Cleansing the air

Did you know just 20 aloe plants can convert as much CO2, into oxygen as a full sized tree. That means our millions of aloe plants cleanse the earth of tonnes of CO2 every year!

Reducing waste

Our flagship product Forever Aloe Vera Gel is made from 100% recyclable materials. That’s how we ensure our packaging gets reused instead of dumped in landfills or waterways.

Protecting the reefs

Coral reefs play a vital role in the delicate ecosystem of our worlds oceans, but many sunscreens contains chemicals that bleach and kill coral reefs. Forever Aloe Sunscreen contains non-nanosized natural zinc oxides, so not only protects from the sun harmful rays but is reef safe as well.

Keeping waterways clean

So many unassuming household products contain toxic chemicals that end up going down the drain and often into our waterways. Forever Aloe MPD 2x Ultra is a multipurpose cleaner that can replace those toxic varieties with an effective solution made with environmentally friendly and biodegradable ingredients.

Frequently asked questions

What is the carbon footprint of our aloe plants?

Twenty aloe plants can covert the same amount of CO2 into oxygen as a tree. With 50 million aloe plants, Forever’s aloe crops are able to cleanse the earth of hundreds of millions of tons of CO2 every single year.

What does Forever do in their manufacturing process to be environmentally friendly?

As a vertically integrated company, Forever is able to positively impact the processes at every stage of our product development, manufacturing and distribution and continue to make significant strides to become more and more environmentally friendly. We recycle over 200 tons of corrugated cardboard each year and recycle all plastic from our manufacturing process. Investments in new manufacturing technologies have served to cut energy consumption significantly, in some cases up to 80%. For the last three years, Aloe Vera of America has received the Blue Thumb Award signifying a commitment to keeping our waterways clean in addition to being recognized for our commitment to our pollution prevention program.

What does Forever do in their shipping packaging to be more environmentally friendly?

Forever’s shipping boxes are made from 85% recyclable materials and printed with environmentally friendly inks. Plastic air cushions are used during shipping for padding and stability. These air cushions are recyclable, can be punctured to take up less space and have a neutral carbon footprint.

 Forever’s product packaging recyclable?

The vast majority of Forever’s product packaging is recyclable. We are continually auditing our products and making updates and changes to our packaging whenever possible. Forever is committed to aligning with packaging partners who have fully adopted or are in the process of implementing green manufacturing processes.

The  recycle number 7 on many of your bottles – what does this mean?

Number 7 on any packaging usually refers to “mixed plastic”. For many companies, Forever included, this refers to the different plastic used for the tube and for the cap. As they would be recycled through different processes, leaving these two pieces connected while putting them in the recycling can affect their ability to be recycled. We recommend separating caps and bottles/tubes before placing them in the recycling
